We never use or share your personal information provided to us. We will not bombard you with newsletters and the like; in fact, we do not have any newsletters. Any news that might be of interest for you such as new papers or books or websites on relevant subjects will be announced on our Webpage New Papers & Books.
We do not have access to your credit card data, your account number or any other financial information. These data are available to PayPal or 2CheckOut only, which use SSL, the industry-leading encryption to protect information.
If you contact the author and Irma Dircks would like to post your email on her website, she will not do so before having asked you for permission.
What we will do
We use the information you provide about yourself by placing an order only to complete your order and for communication regarding your order.
If you have ordered the paperback, we will only contact you to confirm your order and to tell you when your book will be shipped and to send you an invoice indicating the amount you have paid.
If you have ordered the e-book, we will contact you to send you your password, an invoice indicating the amount you have paid and above all your e-book as an email attachment.
We will also contact you via email if any difficulties arise, for instance, if there are queries from your side about your order.
To improve our website, we have instructed our web host to install a visitor counter on it. It aggregates the number of visits to our pages and how long people stayed on these pages. It does not record your name or any other personal data. Visitors remain completely anonymous to us.
Two final remarks
Our website contains links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over these websites. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not covered by this privacy statement.
It is well known that no transmission of data over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. It may be possible for third parties not under our control to intercept or access transmissions or private communications unlawfully. As you do not give financial information such as credit card numbers to us, this is very unlikely to happen. Who should be interested in seeing whether you have ordered our book or what questions you have posed to its author? Nevertheless, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us. Any such transmission is done at your own risk. We do, however, promise that we strive to protect your personal information.
